About the event
The Cluntergate Centre welcomes SRM Theatre with Behind Closed Doors, an original, witty and thought-provoking piece of theatre exploring the lives we live behind closed doors.
Apartments sit one on top of another, each containing its own world, its own history and its own secrets. Who lives in these spaces? What brought them here? And what are they trying to escape, hold on to, or leave behind?
Behind Closed Doors explores the different ways people can become trapped — by circumstance, by the choices they make, or by choices made for them. It looks at the cages we build, inherit, tolerate and sometimes desperately try to break free from.
Based in West Yorkshire, SRM Theatre creates entertaining, relatable work for community audiences, combining humour with stories and ideas that stay with you long after the performance ends.
The performance lasts approximately 1 hour 10 minutes.
